The Lacey Confession The Locator Book 2 (Audible Audio Edition) Richard Greener Marc Vietor Audible Studios Books

For everyone who loves a mystery, a conspiracy and intriguing characters. You might want to read the first Locator novel - The Knowland Retribution -- first because some characters from that book show up in this one. Masterfully written. Richard Greener wrote this novel while he was waiting for a new heart. He suffered severe complications from the surgery. He wrote about this experience in "Trapped." Amazon says he is alive and still writing. Let's hope we see more Locator novels.
The TV show "Finder" was very loosely based on the Locator. "Loosely" meaning the main character is named Walter Sherman and he is good at finding things. Time period, Sherman's age, secondary characters, Sherman's personallity are all different. Loved the TV series and regret it was cancelled. Greener's novels tell a differenct story.

The Lacey Confession The Locator Book 2 (Audible Audio Edition) Richard Greener Marc Vietor Audible Studios Books Reviews

I found the Locator series because of the TV show The Finder. They are very different in the character designs but both are worthy of your time. Very good read.
This is the second book on The Locator series and to me the weakest of them.

It would have been easy to make this a stand alone book, but Greener has linked them together and (i guess) it's OK, but be warned, this book spoils the first one. So read them in order, if you can.

It seemed like the first half of the book was just preparation for the main character Walter Sherman to appear. Luckily I knew that all the bits and pieces at the beginning would pop up somewhere later, so I made a mental note of them (I wish I'd known that when I read the first book).

The story seemed to be split in two. Before Walter's heart attack and after. Before the heart attack he's trying to find Harry Levine who has Frederick Lacey's notes that contain many secrets (who killed Kennedy etc.) and after where he's quickly tying up all the loose ends together. The author was in such a hurry to finish the book that the ending felt rushed.

All and all an entertaining book, but it could have been better.
Couldn't quit reading - no place to stop (they used to call this a page turner - now I think they say riveting!)
I highly recommend The Locator series to anyone who enjoys a puzzle. Walter Sherman is a likeable character whose integrity one cannot help but admire and appreciate.
I read this book after being introduced to the locator through the television series. The original locator is a very different character in most aspects--older, more conventional, and more naive. If you read this book looking for the TV series character, you will be disappointed. However, if you read it with an open mind and eliminate preconceptions, you will find a fascinating character and a well-laid plot line.
I realistic portrayal of the characters. So much action it's hard to put the book down. Unlike many books, it doesn't poop out at the end, you stay glued all the way to the end.
I enjoyed the first novel in this series. This entry is very disappointing. Instead of telling a story about the main character, this book just drones on forever about retelling history. There is so much detail about people and events years in the past that almost no effort goes into telling the story that is supposed to be the basis of the book.

Don't bother.
