I love this book. Emma's writing is honest, accessible and very practical. I have found her ideas very helpful in moving past disliking and trying to change my body. I have found that by doing that I have a whole different relationship with both my body and food.Her suggestion that by radical acceptance of our bodies (allowing them to be exactly the way they are) we can free ourselves of a destructive cycle around food and give us peace with the body we've got. Emma completely nails it. I've read every book out there around this subject for women and food and bodies and she really hits the nail on the head. I adore her perspective. It's a powerful one for sure. It once again reminded me that, like most things this is an inside job. And once we give up on trying to change the outside to fit our "rules" then the insides effortlessly fall into place. Thank you EMMA! I cannot wait until the next one!
If you are a mother or a daughter then this is the book for you - read it separately or together but read it and join the community of women around the world standing up together to grow the next generation of confident people - written in a friendly and accessible style, this is more like chatting to a good friend - recommended -)
I read and loved the first book in this series and this one is equally as good. The way this writer shares her stories gave me great insight into acceptance and why we could all do well to practice it. In fact, this is a book about 'life' as much as it is about food and eating. I look forward to the next book in this series.
